Where We Draw the Line

This post explains what is not allowed on AICHIKI, how our security system responds when a rule is broken, and how an account gets banned.

What a story can include

AICHIKI is for users aged 16 and over. Stories here can be dark, romantic or mature, the way novels are.

A story can turn sexual when it gets there naturally, between adult characters, and with consent. It can't be ordered, and a character can't be forced into it. If the user is under 18, the story does not go there at all.

Everything public on the app has to be suitable for all our users.

What is not allowed

Our Terms give the full list. In short, these are not allowed:

  • Sexual content involving anyone under 18
  • Non-consensual sexual content
  • Characters defined by sexual attraction to minors or by predatory behaviour toward them
  • Age regression roleplay, and characters given an adult age but described as children
  • Content that promotes or glorifies illegal activities
  • Content that encourages self-harm or harm to others
  • Targeted harassment of a person
  • Hate speech, content that glorifies political violence or promotes extremist ideologies, and dominance scenarios between real-world nationalities, political groups or religions
  • Content that violates someone's privacy or intellectual property

The hard line

Sexual content involving a minor, or taking place in front of one, is never allowed on AICHIKI. A minor is anyone under 18. Anything else harmful and illegal done to a child in a story is treated the same way. The rule is the same whether the minor is a character played by the AI or an identity played by the user.

Characters and identities must be at least 16. A character or an identity can be 16 or 17, and sexual content with them is not possible. Younger children can be part of a story as well. A character can have a son, a daughter or a younger sibling, and that alone is not flagged.

We go by what the description and the story say, whatever age was entered or left out. The AI is instructed never to harm a child in a story. AI models can make mistakes, and the security system checks for those cases as well.

What happens when a rule is broken

An AI follows every chat as it happens. It has to, in order to build the character's memory and to reply properly, so there is little room to hide what is happening in a story.

When the security system detects rule-breaking, it steers the story toward a safe continuation, removes points from the account's standing and alerts us. It never bans an account.

The two of us review every alert. A review ends in one of three ways:

  • The system was wrong. We restore the account's standing.
  • A warning is enough. We send the user a warning.
  • The offence calls for an immediate ban. Sexual content with a minor, and anything else harmful and illegal done to a child, are in this group.

A user who keeps breaking the rules after being warned is banned as well. We will explain account standing in a separate post.

What a ban means

A ban can be permanent. A banned account does not receive a refund for a paid plan.

A user who believes we made a mistake can appeal by writing to the support address listed in our Terms. We review every appeal case by case.

If you have questions about any of this, ask us on Discord or open a ticket in the app through Support.
